Cattle Headlock

The cattle headlock is a type of cattle restraining equipment. Dairy cows require numerous routine treatments and examinations in order to be productive and healthy. Sometimes, it can be difficult to locate and treat individual cows in free-stall barns where cows are "on the loose." Installing and utilizing cattle headlocks (self-locking headgates) can be a cost-effective solution to this issue.

With extensive management, each cow may require personalized attention up to 50 times every lactation cycle for crucial check-ups or treatments. Headlocks make it simple to recognize animals and allow for the safe and efficient completion of tasks. Animals are "on the loose" without headlocks and must be tracked down and recognized. After that, the animals must be separated from their group and transported to a central pen. The animals must be re-sorted and returned to their original quarters once the therapy or checkup is completed. The animals can control themselves, they are presented for easy identification, and they do not need to be taken away from their enclosures when headlocks are used in their regular pens.
