Rope adjuster

Our rope adjuster is a line adjusting plate for poultry drinking lines (such as nipple drinkers) and feeding lines.

Effects of too much water on poultry

1. Spillage leads to poor litter quality.
2. Ammonia levels increase and this can potentially cause respiratory and eye problems.
3. Footpad health problems and decreased bird mobility.
4. Breast blisters and carcass condemnations.

Effects of too little water

• Decreased water consumption ultimately leads to decreased feed consumption.
• Dusty conditions in the barn consequent to low moisture levels can also lead to respiratory health risks.

Slopes

• Sloped houses can result in uneven water pressure from one end of the house to the other.
• Uneven pressure often results in retarded growth and a lack of uniformity across the flock.
• To accommodate the slope, a slope regulator or cord adjuster should be added at certain intervals across the house.
• They lower the incoming water pressure to a more appropriate level to counteract the problems associated with sloped lines.

Airlocks

Airlocks can be a common problem if watering lines are uneven. They occur in high spots in the line and can prevent water flow to the sections beyond the airlock. To correct airlocks, adjust the lines (using rope/cord adjusters) carefully so they are straight.
