Active Ingredient in Twig Herbicide

Imazethapyr 700g/kg WDG. Imazethapyr is a common member of Imidazolinone. This is a class of pesticides that works by inhibiting the enzyme acetohydroxyacid synthase which is involved in the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids in plants. They are used on such crops as soybeans, corn, rice, and peanuts. Overall, the herbicides from this class when used at low levels are relatively safe for the environment and have been demonstrated to be relatively non-toxic to mammals

Dosage rate: Apply at the rate of 100g per Hectare

Dilution rate: Apply 1 sachet in 20 litres of knapsack

Mode of use:

• Apply to actively grow weeds that are in the 2-4 leaf stage
• For best results apply when the soil and weed are moist or at least 4 hours before rain
• Ensure complete coverage of the field
• Follow recommended dosage rate.

Storage conditions: Store only in original packs in a dry place inaccessible to children, pets, and domestic animals.

Protective Measures

• When using do not eat drink or smoke
• Wash hands and exposed skin immediately after spraying and before eating or drinking
• Protective clothing should be used with respiratory protective devices to prevent skin contact and inhalation of herbicides. Protective clothing may include rubber aprons, coveralls, chemical splash goggles, safety shoes and hard hats.
• Wash all protective clothing
• Store early after using
• Read carefully the product label before use
• Do not contaminate surface water with chemicals or used containers
• Dispose of empty containers after using
• In case of contact with the eyes flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and take the patient with the open container to the doctor
• In case of ingestion administer medicine now or activated charcoal and take patients urgently to the doctor with the container
